Register to bid on Government tenders
Government contracts are open only to suppliers registered with the Public Procurement Commission and listed on the electronic procurement portal.

Register for General Consumption Tax (GCT)
Businesses above the turnover threshold must register for GCT and file monthly; registering voluntarily lets you reclaim input tax.

Get a Taxpayer Registration Number (TRN)
Every business and sole trader needs a TRN before anything else — banking, GCT, contracts and government programmes all ask for it.
