Steps
- Apply to the Municipal Corporation for the Place of Amusement permit at least 10 working days ahead (site, date, expected crowd, sanitation plan).
- Apply at the Savanna-la-Mar Police Station for the police permit (Noise Abatement Act hours apply: 2 am weekends, midnight weekdays unless extended).
- Special occasion spirit licence from the Clerk of the Courts if alcohol is sold.
- Music licence from JACAP / JAMMS for recorded or live music.
- Public Health: portable toilets and food vendor permits for larger events.
Tips
- Start with the Municipal Corporation; the police permit is usually conditional on it.
- Ticketed events: a ticketing platform with gate scanning makes the crowd count the permit asks for easy to prove.
