Steps

Apply for a Public Health inspection of the premises: water supply, sterilisation of tools, waste disposal, ventilation.
Operators attend the Health Department’s barbering/cosmetology hygiene session where offered.
Apply for the annual trade licence at the Westmoreland Municipal Corporation.
Display the certificate in the shop.

HEART/NSTA certification in cosmetology or barbering strengthens the application and is now expected by many customers.
